Squarespace Website Improvements

MeadowSpirit Healing is Liz’s Squarespace website, where she shares her healing work, Sacred Sites content and upcoming events. Liz asked me to update the Sacred Sites section with new content and create an Events page so visitors could discover and attend her forthcoming events.

I improved the page layouts to make the content easier to read and more engaging. This included introducing more imagery, using narrower text columns, and refining the fonts and background colours to better reflect the MeadowSpirit brand.

I also created page-introduction components that guide visitors towards the next relevant area of the website. Clear calls to action now encourage visitors to subscribe to Liz’s newsletter or contact her by email or phone—helping the website support meaningful enquiries, rather than simply sharing information.

For SEO, I restructured pages using meaningful HTML elements, clear heading hierarchies, and relevant meta titles and descriptions. I also added FAQs to answer common visitor questions and give search engines more context about the website’s content and services.

Working within an existing Squarespace website

MeadowSpirit Healing uses Squarespace 7.0, an earlier version of the platform. Its core features and layout options are tied to the Brine template family, specifically the Moksha template. Moving to Squarespace 7.1 would require a full rebuild or manual migration of the website content.

Rather than recommending an unnecessary rebuild, I worked within the existing platform to make practical improvements that suit Liz’s current priorities and budget.

What’s next

Future work will focus on the Home, Healing and Contact pages. As Liz prepares to publish her book, we also plan to add an e-commerce section. A booking system is planned for her healing and animal communication services, making it easier for visitors to arrange appointments online.
